Teriyaki
Savory soy, ginger and garlic, with a smooth, glossy finish. Our starting point for a glaze that belongs on salmon, chicken or vegetables.

What we’re working on
Our goal is simple: sauces with the flavor and texture you love, without the sugar. We’re starting with three familiar favorites.

Why
Teriyaki, sweet chili, barbecue. Sugar does more than add sweetness: it contributes to a sauce’s body and shine, helping it coat food.
Replacing it means getting the whole experience right. We want balanced sweetness and satisfying texture, without bitterness or a metallic or licorice-like aftertaste.
Our ambition: sugar-free sauces with full flavor, satisfying texture and a clean finish.
What
Savory soy, ginger and garlic, with a smooth, glossy finish. Our starting point for a glaze that belongs on salmon, chicken or vegetables.
Japanese-inspiredBright chili, garlic and a gentle tang. We’re aiming for the sticky texture and sweet heat that make it such a good dip and glaze.
Thai-inspiredRich tomato, smoky depth and a gentle kick. Our take on an American barbecue classic, with the sugar brought close to zero.
American-inspiredHow
If it doesn’t taste as good as the sauces we love, it isn’t finished.
Our target is sugar content as close to zero as possible, while keeping the sauce’s body and balance.
We’re exploring alternatives to sugar, choosing ingredients for their taste and how they work together.
No lingering bitterness, metallic notes or licorice-like flavors: that’s the taste experience we’re working towards.
We’re exploring production in Thailand for our Asian sauces and in the United States for barbecue. The partners and locations are still to be decided.
Where we are
Lami Sauces is an independent food venture at an early stage. We’re evaluating ingredients and development partners. Recipe trials and pilot batches are the next steps we’re working towards.
